Product Introduction:
CZ-A90C230 is a flame retardant synergist used for red phosphorus-enhanced flame retardant polyamide. It primarily improves the ability of red phosphorus flame retardant polyamide to pass the GWFI 850°C and GWFI 960°C tests while maintaining good mechanical properties and appearance. Red phosphorus flame retardant polyamide is widely used in current-carrying components due to its high CTI (generally reaching 500~550V), good fluidity, and resistance to injection molding precipitation. While red phosphorus flame retardant polyamide products easily pass UL94 V0, a synergist is required to stably pass the GWFI 850°C/1.5mm and GWFI 960°C/1.5mm or thinner thickness tests. The addition of zinc borate can help red phosphorus flame retardant polyamide products pass the GWFI 850°C/1.5mm test, but in high-humidity storage environments, it can cause white boric acid crystals to precipitate on the surface of the parts. This product not only has better synergistic effects but also overcomes the above issues.

Flame Retardant Mechanism:
Red phosphorus flame retardant PA66 is much easier to achieve compared to PA6. This is because the adipic acid produced during the combustion degradation of PA66 generates pentanone, which forms ether and then carbon under the action of pyrophosphoric acid produced by red phosphorus. This mechanism differs from halogen flame retardants, which rely on additive amounts. The phosphorus in this product releases hypophosphorous acid before red phosphorus under heat. The active hydroxyl groups on the silicon surface readily react with pyrophosphoric acid under intense heat to form carbon attachment points, thereby enhancing flame retardant performance;
Product Applications and Reference Formulations:
Suitable for polyamide products containing dibasic acids such as PA66, PA66/6, PA66+PA6, PA56, etc.

Flame retardant CZ-A90C230 applicable products (pure PA66 or PA66 and PA6 alloy products):
PA6 + PA66 alloy (PA66 accounts for 50% or more of the alloy proportion)
